LiveU LU900Q Helps Deliver Record-Breaking IRONMAN Texas Broadcast

By Stephanie R 0 Comment May 21, 2026

LiveU’s new LU900Q intelligent production unit played a major role in powering the 2026 Memorial Hermann IRONMAN Texas North American Championship broadcast, helping production company BCC Live deliver a stable 10-hour live production across one of the most challenging race environments in endurance sports. The event achieved a record-breaking global audience with approximately 584,000 unique viewers tuning in for extended coverage.

BCC Live deployed four LU900Q units across motorcycles, drones, roaming cameras, boats, and mobile electric unicycle camera systems throughout the 140.6-mile course. The units relied on LiveU IQ (LIQ™) AI-powered connectivity and 5G architecture to automatically adapt to changing network conditions caused by tunnels, tree coverage, bridges, and crowded cellular environments.

The remote production workflow transmitted live feeds from Texas back to BCC Live’s production studio in Colorado, where the event was produced and distributed globally across YouTube, DAZN, and IRONMAN’s streaming platforms. According to BCC Live, the LU900Q reduced many of the connectivity issues normally encountered during productions of this scale, allowing crews to focus more on storytelling and live coverage quality.
