LiveU Demonstrates 5G Cloud Production Workflow for Modern Sports Broadcasting

LiveU partnered with Orange Belgium, Atmosfair, ID2Move, and Dreamwall to demonstrate a next-generation 5G-powered remote production workflow during the International Belgian Judo Open. Leveraging LiveU’s LU800, LU300S, LiveU Studio, and a dedicated 5G standalone network slice, the proof of concept delivered a fully cloud-based production with minimal on-site infrastructure.
The deployment showcased how broadcasters can reduce production costs while improving scalability, sustainability, and operational flexibility. By integrating bonded cellular transmission, cloud-native production tools, remote commentary, instant replay, and real-time AR graphics, the project highlights how IP-based and 5G workflows are reshaping the future of live sports production.
