Aragón TV is expanding its outside broadcast capabilities with the BirdDog O4, adding a flexible IP-based camera option alongside its traditional broadcast infrastructure.
During coverage of the Fiestas del Ángel in Teruel, Spain, Aragón TV deployed O4 cameras around the city’s main square. Using PoE++, a single Ethernet connection carried power, video, and control signals, simplifying installation for remote outdoor camera locations.
The broadcaster also used NDI and SRT simultaneously, sending NDI feeds to the outside broadcast vehicle while delivering SRT back to its Zaragoza facility for the Aragón TV OTT platform. The cameras remained operational for several days and could continue being controlled remotely after the OB vehicle left the location.
Just as importantly, O4 provided the image adjustment needed to match existing broadcast cameras and integrate with Aragón TV’s CyanView control environment. With 4K imaging, outdoor construction, AI tracking, remote control, and IP connectivity, BirdDog O4 gives broadcasters and integrators another way to add camera positions without the infrastructure traditionally required for outside broadcast production.
