There are a range of cameras that are compatible with SlingStudio.
When connected to a SlingStudio unit via an HDMI cable or a SlingStudio CameraLink device, SlingStudio can record audio and video from compatible HDMI or SDI cameras. (SDI cameras require an SDI-to-HDMI adapter.)
Compatible camera devices include DSLRs, camcorders, cinema cameras, drones, and other video sources such as Windows and Mac computers.
Important note: It is not possible to connect a camera to a SlingStudio unit solely with the camera’s built-in Wi-Fi connection. You must connect the camera to the SlingStudio unit either directly with an HDMI cable, or via a SlingStudio CameraLink device.
However, you can connect compatible Apple iPhone and iPod touch devices, as well as compatible Android smartphones, directly to the SlingStudio device. Download the free SlingStudio Capture app, available from the Apple App and the Google Play stores, and install it on your device. Then connect your smartphone’s Wi-Fi to the SlingStudio hotspot and launch the Capture app. See above for more information.

- Second list: Cameras that customers report they are successfully using with SlingStudio. Note: This information has not been verified by Sling Media.
Important: While Sling Media has tested and confirmed the data in the table below, camera models and internal software can change at any time. Best advice: Try before you buy! This table is intended to help you sort out the vast number of available cameras, but it is not intended to be a guarantee of performance.

Sling Media asked customers what cameras they are using successfully with SlingStudio. Some of the cameras mentioned are ones that Sling Media hasn’t tested, so they are not listed in the table above.
But because members of the SlingStudio community have said that these cameras are working well for them, they are listed here because having that information might be helpful for you.
But please be aware: This information is being provided for reference only. Sling Media has not verified that these cameras operate successfully with SlingStudio, so the “try before you buy” advice applies even more here!
